Football: San Clemente has made its play of the year

San Clemente has already pulled off its play of the year.
With a little help from its scrimmage opponent, El Toro, the Tritons put in manager Jack West last week and off he went with the ball.
There was nobody going to tackle him.
“It was awesome,” Coach Jaime Ortiz said.
West, a senior, is autistic and has been part of the football team since he was a freshman.
“Having this opportunity of inclusion has made the biggest difference in Jack’s success at SCHS,” his mother, Cathy, said in an email. “There is so much attention on bullying and it is heart warming to see an entire team of young men be so accepting and tolerant of someone who can be perceived as different.”
