Football: QB Josh Rosen is injured
No. 1-ranked St. John Bosco trails Chandler (Ariz.), 28-17, at halftime on Saturday at Mission Viejo, and the news doesn’t look good for standout junior quarterback Josh Rosen.
His right arm is in a sling with an ice pack attached to his shoulder as he sits on the bench after he came out of the game in the second quarter one play after a roughing-the-passer penalty. He appeared to suffer a shoulder injury.
Andrew Katnik came in and completed a 21-yard TD pass to Jaleel Wadood to cut the Braves’ deficit at the end of the half.
Chandler QB Bryce Perkins has run for 100 yards in eight carries and scored one touchdown. He has passed for 148 yards and one touchdown.
Update: Rosen said he will have an X-ray to determine the seriousness of the injury.
