Football: Newbury Park has former head coaches George Hurley, George Contreras on staff

When it comes to experience, Newbury Park’s football program has turned to two veteran coaches to help train its young players.
Former Newbury Park head coach George Hurley, with 38 years of coaching experience, is coaching the freshman offensive and defensive lines. His son, Ryan, is an assistant JV coach.
Former Westlake and Rio Mesa head coach George Contreras, in his 45th year of coaching, is the JV head coach. His son, Michael, is a JV assistant.
