Football: Overtime will be played Monday in Sylmar-Arleta game [Updated]

The nonleague game between Arleta and Sylmar ended regulation in a 36-36 tie on Friday. The two schools would have played overtime _ if there were lights at Arleta. It was called because of darkness, and now the two teams will have to get together on Monday afternoon to finish the game under orders from City Section Commissioner John Aguirre.
That’s the word from Arleta Coach Dan Kelley on Saturday night.
The game needs to be finished for playoff reasons.
Sylmar could have won the game in the final seconds but failed on a 39-yard field-goal attempt.
