Football: Garfield’s Marquis Williams is a player to watch in 2015

Garfield football Coach Lorenzo Hernandez is adamant: junior defensive back Marquis Williams will be one of the best players in the City Section this fall for his senior year and deserves a college scholarship.
Now, if only recruiters will stop by Garfield and take a look.
Williams, 6 feet, 167 pounds, is a cornerback coming off a terrific junior season when the Bulldogs reached the City Section Division I semifinals.
He’s also the fastest player on the team.
He’s the favorite to win the 100 meters and long jump at the Eastern League track and field finals.
