Football: Cathedral’s Hunter Echols commits to UCLA

Junior defensive end Hunter Echols of L.A. Cathedral has committed to UCLA.
The 6-foot-4, 220-pound Echols was a member of The Times’ All-Area team as a junior.
He had 17 sacks last season.
Echols still intends to take visits, according to Coach Kevin Pearson.
