Boys’ basketball: Long Beach Millikan pulls out dramatic victory [Video]

Of the eight games played on Monday during the opening round of the Redondo tournament, the best one matched Long Beach Millikan against Calabasas.
Back and forth it went. Calabasas’ Armin Ismael tied the game at 69-69 when he made a three-pointer with eight seconds left.
Millikan’s Malik Marquetti, who finished with 30 points, drew a foul with 1.8 seconds left and made both free throws to give his team a 71-69 victory.
Jeremy Lieberman had 20 points for Calabasas. Millikan will face St. John Bosco in the quarterfinals on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
