Boys’ basketball: Kobe Paras of Cathedral gets UCLA offer
6-foot-6 L.A. Cathedral junior will be impact player

Kobe Paras, a 6-foot-6 junior from L.A. Cathedral who moved here from the Philippines and is scheduled to make his high school debut next month, has picked up a scholarship offer from UCLA.
He has been known for his dunks, but he’s also an outstanding shooter.
He earlier had picked up scholarship offers from Arizona State and Fresno State, among others.
“Kobe was very excited,” Coach William Middlebrooks said.
