Boys’ basketball: Chino Hills to forfeit 11 games because of ineligible player
A spokeswoman for the Chino Valley Unified School District announced Thursday that the Chino Hills’ basketball team will forfeit 11 games because of an ineligible player.
Chino Hills was 12-4 and 2-1 in the Baseline League before the announcement.
The team’s record will now be 3-13 and 0-3 in league, according to spokeswoman Julie Gobin. Nine of the games forfeited were victories. The other two were losses.
Gobin said the player involved was academically ineligible. “This was an oversight,†she said.
Chino Hills had several basketball players declared ineligible this season after transferring who did not play.
