Boys’ basketball: Big games this week

With the playoffs nearing and league races still up for grab, this week could be decisive in high school basketball.
Among the games are Monday’s Mission League clash between Alemany and host Loyola. Both teams have one loss in league play.
On Tuesday, Chatsworth Sierra Canyon hosts Windward in a battle for first place in the Alpha League.
On Wednesday, Damien and Chino Hills meet at Damien in a game for first place in the Sierra League.
On Friday, Chaminade hosts Loyola, whose only loss was to the Eagles in league play. Calabasas hosts Westlake in a game for first place in the Marmonte League.
On Saturday, the Nike Extravaganza takes place at Mater Dei, with a game between No. 2 Redondo and No. 3 Corona Centennial set for 1:15 p.m.
