Boys’ basketball: A coach showing loyalty to his players
- Share via
Encino Crespi Coach Russell White, in his ninth year with the Celts, goes out of his way to stay in touch with his players.
And if they make it through four years of playing college basketball, he makes sure no matter where they are playing, he shows up for the player’s senior day.
White will be headed to Walla Walla, Wa., this weekend for the senior day of former Crespi player Matt Mounier, who plays at Whitman College.
White is already planning future trips for the senior nights of Michael Avery (Sonoma State) and London Perrantes (Virginia).
That’s loyalty at its best.
