Baseball: The USC vs. UCLA rivalry is alive at JSerra

JSerra’s baseball team could have an interesting dynamic this season.

There’s the UCLA commits on the team and the USC commits. They are friends and teammates now, but soon, they’ll be rivals.

Somebody must have done a good recruiting job, because senior pitcher Quintin Longrie, who committed to UCLA as a sophomore, ended up signing with USC. The other USC commit on the team is junior outfielder Brady Shockey.

The UCLA commits are senior outfielder Jake Pries and junior shortstop Chase Strumpf. They went from being future teammates with Longrie to being future rivals.
