Baseball: National Classic begins on Monday

The 16-team National Classic begins on Monday at El Dorado, Esperanza and Cal State Fullerton. The championship game is Thursday night at Cal State Fullerton.
They’re holding a home-run derby on Saturday at El Dorado.
The opening schedule: Christian Brothers vs. Ayala, 10 a.m. at Esperanza; Cypress vs. Spanish Fork, 4 p.m. at Esperanza; Loyola vs. IMG Academy, 4 p.m. at El Dorado; Xaverian vs. Esperanza, 7 p.m. at Cal State Fullerton; De La Salle vs. Santa Margarita, 1 p.m. at El Dorado; Orange Lutheran vs. West Ranch, 1 p.m. at Esperanza; JW North vs. Agoura, 10 a.m. at El Dorado; Monte Vista vs. El Dorado, 4 p.m. at Cal State Fullerton.
