Baseball: Carson-San Pedro game ended by brawl
In the top of the eighth inning on Thursday night during a Marine League game between San Pedro and host Carson, a brawl erupted during a 5-5 tie. The game was called.
The umpire ejected all players, according to San Pedro Coach Steve Tedesco.
On Friday night, Tedesco confirmed that the game will be a double forfeit. And because the umpires ejected all players, forcing them to sit out an additional game, San Pedro will forfeit a scheduled game against Sylmar on Saturday.
School administrators are expected to be in contact with the City Section office to discuss the incident and actions taken.
Here’s the link to video of the brawl.
