Baseball: 0.63 ERA is Jack Flaherty’s legacy
- Share via
I’ve never seen a high school pitcher have the identical earned-run average in consecutive seasons.
But that’s what Jack Flaherty of Harvard-Westlake pulled off.
Last season, he was 13-0 with an 0.63 ERA.
This season, he was 10-0 with an 0.63 ERA.
“It’s pretty amazing,” Coach Matt LaCour said.
Flaherty had 12 walks this season in 78 innings.
He had 10 walks last season in 89 innings. It’s almost identical, because LaCour thinks Flaherty had two intentional walks this season.
In other words, Flaherty was Mr. Consistency.
