Dodgers to start Hyun-Jin Ryu in Game 3, Ricky Nolasco in Game 4

The Dodgers are going to play the waiting game in announcing their playoff roster -- it’s due by 10 a.m. Thursday -- but at least they’ve gotten around to naming their rotation.

Manager Don Mattingly announced in Atlanta on Wednesday that Hyun-Jin Ryu would start Game 3 Sunday in Los Angeles and Ricky Nolasco Game 4 on Monday at Dodger Stadium.

Times for the games have yet to be announced, though TBS -- which will broadcast Game 3 -- has a 5:37 p.m. start listed on its website.

The Braves did announce their full roster Wednesday, leaving off struggling second baseman Dan Uggla and starter Paul Maholm, so that’s at least one left-hander the Dodgers don’t have to be worried about.

Ryu (14-8, 3.00) is scheduled to start against Atlanta’s Julio Teheran (14-8, 3.20). Nolasco (8-3, 3.52 in 16 games as a Dodger) will go up against Freddy Garcia (4-7, 4.37).

Mattingly said the Dodgers had not discussed pitching Clayton Kershaw on short rest for Game 4, though Kershaw said he’d be fine with it.

“I’m not opposed to it,” Kershaw said. “Obviously I’ve never done it. But I have some ideas [how].”

Kershaw has not faced the Braves since 2011.

Braves Manager Fredi Gonzalez is apparently impressed with the Dodgers’ rotation, regardless of who’s lined up.

“It may be the best rotation in the National League,” he said.
