AT THE PLATE: Andre Ethier doubled in two runs in the first inning. He was two for three, raising his spring average to .357. Adrian Gonzalez was one for two and drew his fifth walk of the exhibition season. Gonzalez is batting .333 and has an on-base percentage of .448. Yasiel Puig collected an infield hit, which was only his fifth hit of the spring. Puig is batting .172. Puig isn’t the only key player who isn’t hitting this spring. A.J. Ellis is batting .083, Carl Crawford .136, Dee Gordon .172 and Hanley Ramirez .222.

ON THE MOUND: Top prospect Zach Lee gave up four runs (three earned) and three hits in 22/3 innings. Kenley Jansen and Chris Withrow pitched a perfect inning apiece, with Jansen striking out the side.

EXTRA BASES: The Dodgers challenged a play for the first time under baseball’s expanded replay system, as Ramirez argued that shortstop Didi Gregorius stepped off second base after stealing it in the fifth inning. However, the original safe call stood.
