A look back at the series between the Cubs and White Sox (1997-2017). The White Sox lead the regular-season series 59-56.

The Cubs won the Crosstown Cup for the first time since 2013 with a 3-1 series win over the White Sox. “I had heard guys talking about it, but I didn’t know there was a hole in the bottom of it,” pitcher Kyle Hendricks said. “We tried to put beer in there, and it went right through the bottom. So I guess it clearly has been a few years since we got it.”

The White Sox won two games at U.S. Cellular Field, and the Cubs won two games at Wrigley Field. The White Sox, winners the previous year, keep the Crosstown Cup for another season.
