The day after Blake Griffin had surgery to remove a staph infection in his right elbow, he took to Twitter to give his fans an update.

Tweeted Griffin on Tuesday: “Thanks for all the messages! Surgery went well. If you need me I’ll be setting a record for most consecutive @Netflix minutes watched.â€

Griffin will be out at least three weeks before he’ll be reevaluated, the Clippers said Monday, meaning he’ll miss at least nine games.

Luckily for the Clippers, the team has no games during one of those weeks because of All-Star break, which extends from Feb. 12-18 for the Clippers.

The superstar power forward was taken to the hospital when the team landed in Oklahoma City on Saturday because his right elbow was unusually swollen after having his elbow drained in New York last week while dealing with bursitis.

Griffin flew back to Los Angeles and had surgery Monday.

So far the team is 1-1 without Griffin. On Sunday, the Clippers suffered a 131-108 loss to the Thunder while being outrebounded, 54-29. The following evening, the Clippers beat the Mavericks, 115-98, behind DeAndre Jordan’s career-high 27 rebounds.

The Clippers are in sixth place in the Western Conference with a record of 34-19. They host the Houston Rockets on Monday in their final game before the All-Star break.
