Breakdown: Marina looks to continue its hot start when it travels to Westminster for this nonleague game ... The Vikings earned their first season-opening win since 2003 with a 34-14 Week Zero triumph against Dana Hills, then backed it up last week with a 41-35 victory against Ocean View ... The Vikings held on to beat the Seahawks after taking a 41-14 lead into the fourth quarter ... Marina is ranked No. 10 in the CIF Southern Section Division 12 poll ... Marina is going for its third win and the Vikings have not won three games in a season since 2012, which was also the last year that Marina beat Westminster ... The Lions have won three straight since then in the series, including last year’s 42-20 outcome ... Holmes has caught a pair of touchdown passes from junior quarterback Ian Green in each of Marina’s first two games ... Westminster opened the season last week with a 28-21 loss at Garden Grove ... Both Marina and Westminster play their home games at Boswell Field but the Lions are the home team on Friday night.
