EUGENE, Ore. — Mamadou Ndiaye and Luke Nelson scored 15 points each for the Anteaters in the nonconference road game on Tuesday night.

Ndiaye also grabbed 10 rebounds to record his fourth consecutive double-double, but the Anteaters (7-4) committed a season-high 22 turnovers.

Elgin Cook led Oregon (8-2) with 26 points and was one of five Ducks players in double figures.

UCI plays host to Chapman at 7 p.m. Friday at the Bren Events Center.

Grand Canyon 58, UC Irvine 53

The host Anteaters missed a pair of three-point attempts in the final seconds that could have pulled them even as the Antelopes used a 14-3 fourth-quarter run to reverse a deficit in the nonconference game on Monday.

Junior Shereen Sutherland had 17 points and eight rebounds, while senior Mokun Fajemisin had nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocked shots for UCI (3-6).

UCI was two for 17 from three-point range (11.8%) and lost the battled on the glass, 49-32..

Grand Canyon, which snapped UCI’s two-game winning steak, is 5-6.
