GOLETA — Sailors junior Lissa Westerman continued her strong play, scoring five goals for the Sailors in Thursday’s play-in game for the Santa Barbara Tournament of Champions at Dos Pueblos High.
Westerman has scored nine goals in Newport’s last two games.
Senior Sammie Garcia added three goals and three assists for the Sailors (6-7), who play Dos Pueblos in the TOC first round at 12:30 p.m. Friday at Dos Pueblos.

Alex Adkisson and Hailey Hopp scored three goals for the Eagles in the nonleague game on Thursday.
Maria Ramos and Julia Paluch added one goal each for Estancia.

DOWNEY – Heather Park scored 27 points to lead the Lightning in the Academy League game on Thursday.
Kate Knollenberg added 20 points and Kenna Knollenberg scored 11 points for Sage Hill (9-5, 2-1 in league).
