A 37-year-old man was arrested early Saturday on suspicion of entering a Fountain Valley home and standing over a resident as the person slept.

Fountain Valley police responded at 1:36 a.m. to the 9000 block of Shimizu River Circle after receiving a report of a man walking up to the front doors of homes and approaching vehicles in the area, Sgt. Tony Luce said in a statement.

According to Luce, the man entered an unlocked home, walked into a bedroom and stood over the sleeping resident’s bed. The resident awoke and demanded that the man leave, Luce said.
