H.B.’s Oak View community marks Dia de los Muertos

The Oak View community in Huntington Beach commemorated Dia de los Muertos, or Day of the Dead, with traditional activities Saturday.

Guests at the free event — presented by Mas Fuerte Scholarship Inc., Oak View Comunidad and the Huntington Beach Cultural Society — celebrated with an altar display where people could bring photos, food and other mementos to remember loved ones who have died.

Children decorated sugar skulls, and Aztec dancers performed.
