All kind of animals in spotlight at Family Pet Expo

The OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa is home this weekend to hundreds of exotic reptiles, fish, birds, felines, canines, miniature horses and other animals for the America’s Family Pet Expo.

The three-day event runs through Sunday, offering animal shows, pet adoptions and experts sharing their knowledge on how to take care of animals.

Making their debut at the expo this year are miniature sheep, chickens and pot-bellied pigs.

Hours on Sunday are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. General admission is $13; senior citizens 60 and older pay $11; children ages 6 to 12 get in for $8 and kids 5 and younger are admitted free.
