Costa Mesa is set to get about $2.2 million for transportation projects after the Orange County Transportation Authority board approved the money on Monday.
The board voted to set aside about $1.7 million to synchronize traffic signals on Fairview Road and two $281,250 awards to go toward widening Newport Boulevard between 19th Street and Superior Avenue and Wilson Street between College Avenue and Fairview.
Overall, the board approved more than $50 million in Measure M funding for 26 projects countywide.
Measure M is Orange County’s half-cent sales tax for transportation improvements.
