Moon Valley Nurseries has opened a new location in Irvine with more than 35 acres.
The business is at 6501 Alton Pkwy.
Moon Valley will sell a large inventory of shade, flowering, water-wise, fast-growing, evergreen and deciduous trees, according to a news release.

Fresh Bros. donating to Autism Speaks
Fresh Bros., a pizza chain with a location in Newport Beach, is supporting Autism Speaks, an advocacy organization, throughout April for Autism Awareness Month.
The company, which has a fundraising goal of $10,000, will have donation boxes at its registers.
On Wednesdays in April, if customers mention Autism Speaks, 20% of the proceeds from their orders will be donated to the organization.

Tilly’s co-founder to receive award
Tilly Levine, co-founder and vice president of vendor relations for Irvine-based clothing retailer Tilly’s, will receive the Champion of Hope award from Boys Town California.
She will be recognized during an event May 1 at the Center Club in Costa Mesa.
Boys Town California is a division of Nebraska-based Boys Town, a nonprofit that helps at-risk children and their families.
The Champion of Hope award recognizes “those who make significant contributions within the community for the benefit of disadvantaged children and families of Southern California,” according to a news release.
Levine founded Tilly’s Life Center, which “inspires today’s youth to reach their full potential as productive, kind, happy and responsible individuals,” according to the release.

Newport dentist volunteers in Mexico
Dr. Martha Lucero, a dentist and Newport Beach resident, and her volunteer team provided free dental and orthodontic care to men, women and children in Tijuana, Mexico, last weekend, according to a news release.
Lucero owns Lucero Dental, which has offices in Santa Ana and Garden Grove.
The trip was organized by Apóstoles de la Salud, founded by Lucero, who serves as its president.

Newport environmental firm gets new partner
Alan Bick has joined Bick Law Group, a Newport Beach-based environmental law firm, as co-managing partner alongside his wife, Kimberly, who founded the firm, according to a news release.
Bick joins the firm after retiring from Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, where he practiced environmental law for more than 25 years.

New VP joins Thomas Global’s Irvine office
Thomas Global Systems, which provides electronics solutions for aerospace and defense applications, has appointed Robert Pandis as its vice president of business development, according to a news release.
Pandis, who has 29 years of industry experience, will be based in the company’s Irvine office and will be in charge of business development of military markets in North America.

Lincoln Property plans Flight at Tustin Legacy
Lincoln Property Co., a Dallas-based real estate firm with an office in Irvine, is unveiling Flight at Tustin Legacy, formerly called Cornerstone I, in Tustin.
Flight will feature 870,000 square feet of mixed-use spaces, including offices and restaurants, on nearly 40 acres along Barranca Parkway near Armstrong Avenue.
Construction is expected to start by the fall and be completed in winter 2017.

Newport group raising money for ACT Anaheim
The Newport Beach-based Orange County Community Foundation is organizing a fundraiser for Friday for ACT Anaheim, which benefits at-risk youths.
Anaheim’s Backstreet Brewery, 1884 S. Santa Cruz St., will debut a new Baltic Porter beer by Golden Road Brewing. From 4 to 7 p.m., Backstreet and Golden Road will donate $2 to ACT Anaheim for each pint of the beer sold.
