Town hall set for Marina Park

Public safety, parking and upcoming projects in West Newport will be the focus of a town hall meeting Monday.

Mayor Diane Dixon will host the latest of her series of public meetings at 6:30 p.m. at Marina Park, 1600 W. Balboa Blvd.

Attendees will hear updates about projects planned for the Balboa Peninsula and other areas of West Newport and receive an overview of the Parkmobile app that allows people to pay for parking in city-owned lots and meters from their mobile phone. Boardwalk uses along the peninsula will also be discussed.

Officials with Newport Beach police will provide updated information about public safety efforts.

Meeting attendees will not be charged for parking at Marina Park.
