COSTA MESA — Paige Halberg scored a game-high 23 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists for the Lions in the Golden State Athletic Conference game Tuesday.

Veronica Beavor added 13 points, while Esther Timmermans (11 rebounds) and Taylor Belmont scored 10 points each for Vanguard (16-5, 10-3 in conference).

San Diego Christian is 17-8, 6-7.
