Costa Mesa 17, Saddleback 1
SANTA ANA — Mustangs sophomore Mahina Won-Milhon swept at No. 1 singles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday at Saddleback.
Won-Milhon lost just two games for Mesa (2-0 overall and in league). At No. 1 doubles, seniors Jacky Dang and Lisa Vu lost just three games and also swept.
Costa Mesa plays host to Calvary Chapel on Tuesday.

HUNTINGTON BEACH — The three-time-defending Sunset League champion Sailors opened league play on the road on Thursday.
Junior Megan Bathen and senior Mindy Wheeler combined to sweep at No. 2 doubles for the Tars (7-1), who did not lose a doubles set.
The Sailors visit Marina on Tuesday.

COSTA MESA — Senior Christy Brown swept at No. 1 singles, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2 for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match Thursday.
Estancia (1-7, 0-2 in league) plays at Saddleback on Tuesday.

IRVINE — Kimmia Naaseh and Olivia Laws swept at No. 2 doubles, 6-3, 6-3, 6-1, for the Sea Kings in their Pacific Coast League opener Thursday.
CdM lost two tiebreakers in the final three sets.
The Sea Kings opened the match with a 4-2 lead after the first round with freshman Shelby Anderson’s 6-4 victory at No. 3 singles as a highlight.

Costa Mesa 21, Bolsa Grande 4
COSTA MESA — Junior Wyatt Ferris scored five goals to help the Mustangs to the nonleague win Thursday.
Senior James Lewis added four goals and junior Quinn Stone had three goals for Costa Mesa (8-3).
Senior goalie Mitchell Grandia made 15 saves for the Mustangs, who play host to Garden Grove Friday.

Estancia def. Godinez
COSTA MESA — Lauren Peterson had 13 kills to help the Eagles to a 25-15, 25-22, 25-7 Orange Coast League win Thursday.
Chloe Davis had eight kills and Eileen Umansky had four aces for Estancia (4-8, 1-1 in league), which plays at Saddleback Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

COSTA MESA — Junior Cassie Stevenson shot five-over-par 40 to earn medalist honors for the Eagles in the Orange Coast League match at Costa Mesa Golf & Country Club’s Mesa Linda course Thursday.
Estancia is 4-11, 3-1 in league.
