Sage Hill sweeps rival to advance in Southern California Regional Division II playoffs
Amiyah De’Long had 14 kills and 10 digs as the Sage Hill School girls’ volleyball team swept Academy League rival Crean Lutheran 25-18, 25-17, 25-15 in the quarterfinals of the CIF State Southern California Regional Division II playoffs Saturday night at Sage Hill.
Danielle Beder added eight kills and three blocks for No. 5-seeded Sage Hill, which got 33 assists, 13 digs, five kills and five blocks from Jade Blevins. Sydnee Francis had 12 kills and three aces.
“Most complete performance of the season,” Sage Hill coach Dan Thomassen said in a text message.
The Lightning (26-9) play at top-seeded Chatsworth Sierra Canyon in a Regional Division II semifinal match on Tuesday.
