Ocean View girls’ volleyball advances with win over Bolsa Grande

Jillian Pratt finished with 14 kills, 17 digs and three service aces to lead Ocean View High past Bolsa Grande 26-24, 23-25, 25-17, 25-19 in the first round of the CIF Southern Section Division 8 girls’ volleyball playoffs on Tuesday.

Middle blocker Helen Reynolds produced six kills and five blocks, and Kelly Greiner turned in 32 digs.

Ocean View (20-4) will be on the road to face West Covina Edgewood (7-11) in the second round on Thursday. The Lions beat San Gabriel Academy 25-23, 19-25, 25-18, 25-27, 15-9 on Tuesday night.
