COSTA MESA — Senior Molly Pfohl had 20 points and seven rebounds to lead the host Lions in the nonconference game Thursday.

No. 9-ranked Vanguard (6-3) forced 30 turnovers and held the visitors to 28.9% field-goal shooting.

Allison Burns had 16 points, while senior Sarah Boyd had nine assists and only one turnover to go with her six points.

COSTA MESA — Chris Pynch and Christopher Raybon scored 14 points each for the Lions in the nonconference game Thursday.

Alex Chapman had 12 points and Cameron Nettles added 11 points for Vanguard, which dropped to 2-10.
