LONG BEACH — Senior Nick Hefner scored 35 points for the Mustangs in a pool-play game of the St. Anthony tournament Wednesday.

Senior Jordan Walden had 22 points for Costa Mesa (4-2), which completes pool play Friday at 3 p.m. against Mary Star.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY — Maddie Culberson scored in the 18th minute for the Lightning in the nonleague game Tuesday.

Meg Crade had the assist. Goalie Alexa Thomas had 13 saves for Sage Hill (3-2-1), which plays host to Calvary Chapel Downey Friday at 3:15 p.m.

Newport Harbor 54, Anaheim 18

NEWPORT BEACH — Dominic D’Epifanio at 113 pounds, Jesus Diaz at 138s and Ben Nordstrom at 160s each recorded pins for the Sailors in the nonleague match Wednesday at Newport Harbor High.

Alex Maher won, 10-7, at 145 pounds and Ryan Taormina earned an 11-4 victory at 152 pounds.

David Wadleigh, Brandon Hayden, R.J. Roberts, Conner Moore and Roberto Rivera each won via forfeit for Newport Harbor (5-3), which will wrestle at the Andrew Pena Tournament on Saturday at Irvine High.
