COSTA MESA — Emma Pridmore scored in the second minute for the Pirates, who handed the state’s No. 3-ranked team its first loss of the season Friday.
Sarah MacArthur produced the assist for OCC (11-2, 7-2 in the Orange Empire Conference), which has won seven straight. Goalie Kate O’Banion had two saves in her shutout.
The Chargers are 10-1-2, 7-1-1.
The Pirates play at top-ranked Santiago Canyon (11-0-1, 8-0-1) Tuesday at 3 p.m.

STOCKTON — Rachel Wood scored the game-winner for the Anteaters in the 63rd minute of the Big West Conference match Friday.
Haley O’Brien scored off an assist from Madison Solow to give UCI (8-8-0, 4-1-0 in conference) a 1-0 lead in the 23rd minute.
Goalie Corey Tobin made one save for the Anteaters.
Pacific is 3-9-1, 0-3-1.

SANTA ANA — Freshman Hayley Martain had nine kills to help lead the unbeaten Pirates to a 25-3, 25-19, 25-10 Orange Empire Conference win Friday.
Freshman Alex Krohnfeldt, a Costa Mesa High product, had 21 assists and freshman Allie Stone had 11 digs for OCC (11-0, 5-0 in conference), the state’s No. 2 ranked team which plays at Cypress Wednesday.
Santa Ana is 2-11, 0-5.

COSTA MESA — Jessica Neves had 11 kills and Candace Cedarstrom had 10 kills to help lead the Lions to a 25-15, 25-20, 25-22 nonconference win Friday night.
Rachael Barker contributed nine kills, Carly Maxwell finished with 18 assists and Kelly Heenan led with 20 digs for Vanguard (14-9).
Cal State San Marcos, ranked No. 11 in the NAIA, is 18-10.

COSTA MESA — Jorge Sanchez and Dong-Gi Shin scored a goal each for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference game Friday.
Brandon Bauman had two assists for OCC (7-3-2, 3-2-1 in conference), which gave up a 2-0 lead. The Pirates will play host to Cypress Tuesday at 3 p.m.
