Family seeks hit-and-run suspect

A teenager from Huntington Beach was seriously injured in a hit-and-run Monday and his family is asking the public’s help to find the driver of the car.
Huntington Beach police said 17-year-old Stephen Cureton was riding his skateboard when he was struck by a car around 9 p.m. at the intersection of Beach Boulevard and Yorktown Avenue.
Witnesses told authorities that the suspect was driving a black sports car, possibly a Chevrolet Corvette.
Police said Cureton is in stable condition and is expected to survive.
Cureton’s family is offering a $500 reward to anyone that can help them identify the driver of the vehicle.
