School resource officers: The article “Police return to Mesa and Estancia” (Feb. 7) incorrectly stated that police officers at Costa Mesa and Estancia high schools would work some hours there on a volunteer basis. In fact, they will volunteer to take the shifts in addition to their normal duties, but all of the hours worked will be paid. The Police Department and Newport-Mesa Unified School District will split the overtime costs.
