OCC hands out $382K in scholarships

More than 300 students shared $382,000 in scholarships handed out this week at Orange Coast College’s 55th Honors Night.
The campus distributed 438 separate awards to 320 students in the Robert B. Moore Theatre.
The scholarships came from donations from citizens, civic groups, faculty and staff, and other community members, according to a news release from the college.
OCC’s Associated Students sponsored the event, and the Culinary Arts and Hospitality program catered.
