Irvine Spectrum expands dining options
In the coming months the Irvine Spectrum Center will see three new restaurants opening and two others expanding.
Luna Grill, a Near East and Mediterranean restaurant with locations in San Diego, is slated to open this summer near the Edwards movie theater, according to a press release from the Irvine Co., which owns the shopping center.
The grill will offer kabobs a la carte, topped on salad or paired with other items. The restaurant will also serve gyro quesadillas, spicy cilantro hummus and falafel burgers. Prices range from $4 to $11.
The Greek and Mediterranean-inspired eatery Taverna Blu is scheduled to open by the fall near Barnes & Noble andMacy’s. Spanakopita rolls, Greek meatballs, sandwiches and wraps will be on the menu. House specialties include grilled lamp chops and salmon lemonato. Prices ranges from $3 small plates to $21 house specials.
Pieology Pizzeria is coming to the Spectrum this summer with its second location, according to a news release. Its other location is in Fullerton. Yelpers note it for its “build-your-own†pizzas and interesting desserts, such as cinnamon strips and Ding Dongs.
Javier’s Cantina and Grill will add a second patio this summer with fire pits and covered seating for 50 additional customers, the release said.
Wahoo’s Fish Taco is also expanding its patio, which will wrap around the restaurant and include a new bar.
The Spectrum opened Cucina Enoteca, Paul Martin’s American Grill, Capital Seafood and Wood Ranch BBQ & Grill in the last year.
