High school district seeks new trustee

The Huntington Beach Union High School District is taking applications to replace school board member Brian Garland, who died earlier this month.
The new trustee will be chosen through provisional appointment and will remain on the board through the November election.
Applications are due at 4 p.m. April 5 and should be delivered to the superintendent’s office at 5832 Bolsa Ave., Huntington Beach, or emailed to Carole Thomas at [email protected]. Applications and additional information, including eligibility guidelines and timeline, are available at https://www.hbuhsd.edu.
Candidates invited for oral interviews will be notified by April 18, with interviews conducted at a special board meeting May 3.
