Bullies, be gone

Newport Elementary School kicked off its school year with an emphasis on good character. The K-6 school’s Parent Teacher Assn. on Thursday hosted “The Bully Game,� an interactive assembly featuring John Abrams of Amazing Assemblies. The assembly focused on the basics of bullying with lessons such as “teasing versus taunting,� “no more gossip� and “bystander or witness.�
