Authorities: Parents may have taken baby from grandparents
Authorities are searching for the parents of a child that was reported missing Friday in Aliso Viejo.
Brendan Thomas MacCleverty, 25, and Shawn Elizabeth Brady, 24, are suspected in the disappearance of their 15-month-old baby, Skye MacCleverty, who was taken from her grandparents’ home between 8:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday. This violates a court order issued Sept. 8 that granted the father’s parents temporary custody.
Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Steve Doan said authorities believe the father has the child. The father once lived at the home, may have a key in his possession and there were no signs of forced entry, Lt. Doan said.
“We believe he very well may have the mother with him,†he said.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department believes the couple is headed to Colorado in a 1996 black Toyota 4-Runner with the Colorado license plate 485VFD.
Doan could not comment as to why the baby was taken from her parents.
Anyone with information should call the Orange County Sheriff’s Department at (714) 647-7055 or (714) 628-7170.
