Byron Arthur Romig, Jr.

Byron died due to

complications following

lung cancer surgery.

He was a loving husband,

father, grandfather, mentor and friend. He was

married for 51 years to his loving wife and partner,

Linda.

Byron was born and raised in Los Angeles and

eventually settled in Newport Beach, CA. From

1958 to 1962 he served his country in the Navy,

venturing the South Pacific in the submarine, U.S.S.

Tilefish.

Byron built and operated many successful

businesses throughout his life from construction

elevators to developing properties. He was

featured in both Entrepreneur Magazine and

Nation’s Business magazine for his business

expertise. Over the last 20 years he counseled

hundreds of business owners, students, and

beginning entrepreneurs on how to plan, organize,

and run profitable businesses. He was a regular

volunteer at SCORE and California State University,

Fullerton.

He traveled the world and enjoyed a full and

rich life with his family and friends. Byron touched

many people with his generosity, optimism, and

unconditional helping of others. He was loved by

friends, family, students and even strangers.

His Celebration of Life was held at his home on

March 14th.
