HUNTINGTON BEACH — Brad Hemmerling had 21 kills to lead the Pirates to a 30-25, 25-30, 30-25, 30-23 Pacific Coast Conference win Tuesday night.

Jeff Patton had 10 kills and six blocks, while Paul Leon had 46 assists and five aces for OCC (11-1, 5-1 in conference).

SANTA ANA — The Pirates’ Joe Doody shot even-par 72 to earn medalist in the Orange Empire Conference three-way at Santa Ana Country Club Wednesday.

Josh Hurst and Benny Santa Maria each shot 75, while Ryan Knapp and Tyler Paul both shot 76 for OCC (5-2 in conference). Kord Tagley shot 82 for the Pirates.
