COSTA MESA — Jesse Chan and Tony Wright won at No. 4 and No. 6 singles respectively, for the Pirates in the Orange Empire Conference match, at Orange Coast College.
Kevin Tran and Wright won at No.3 doubles for the Pirates (8-1, 3-1 in conference).

COSTA MESA — Catcher Angela St Croix went one for two for the Lions, and Patricia Olvera went the complete game but ended up with the loss as she gave up seven hits and three runs, one earned in game one of the doubleheader.
Katharine Jablonski pitched a one hit shutout which included six strikeouts in the second-game triumph of a nonconference doubleheader Tuesday at Vanguard.
Vanguard is now 10-6.

Fresno State Lexus Classic
FRESNO — UC Irvine finished in a tie for fifth at the Cooper River Country Club Tuesday.
The Anteaters shot a three-round total of 905 (302-301-302) and tied for fifth place with Santa Clara. UC Davis won the tournament with a score of 880, two shots ahead of San Jose State (882). Fresno State (898) was third and Gonzaga (903) was fourth. San Jose State’s Cristina Corpus won medalist honors with a two-under-par 214 (74-69-71).
UCI was led by sophomore Joy Trotter with a 12th place finish and a three-round score of 223 (73-75-75). Freshman Michelle Park was tied for 23rd with a 229 (79-75-75), while sophomore Lalita Patipaksiri was tied for 29th with a 54-hole total of 230 (73-74-83). Junior Hillary Packard recorded the team’s best round Tuesday, posting a 73, but finished tied for 33rd with a 231 (80-78-73).
