Truffle and Valentino
Veterinary hospitals are all about lifesaving but are not in the business of rescuing. Unfortunately, for the pet owners who believe they are avoiding the shelter system, this it is not always true.
The petite young long-hair black mother cat, which was named Truffle, and her kitten, Valentino, were found taped in a box outside a Costa Mesa Animal Hospital. Community Animal Network was called to help but they do not have an available foster home to bring the mother and kitten into the network.
Time is of the essence as the hospital will not hold on to the animals for a length of time.
Even if you have a cat or dog, all you need is an extra bedroom to help.
Call (949) 749-3646 to become a foster parent or come to adopt and meet Truffle and her Valentino at the Fashion Island adoption event, sponsored by Russo’s Pet Experience, from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
All food and veterinary care is provided by Community Animal Network.
See photos of other available animals at www.animalnetwork.org.
If you can make a monetary donation to help local animals, mail your check to Community Animal Network, P.O. Box 8662 Newport Beach, CA, 92658, and memo your check “nonprofit tax ID 33-0971560.”
