Comedienne to appear at book store

Kathy Griffin, author, actress, comedienne and “Diva of the D-List,” will sign her new book at Laguna Beach Books from 3 to 5 p.m. Wednesday. This is an exclusive signing event on Griffin’s D-List Mini Tour.

This is a ticketed signing only. One complimentary ticket will be given for each book bought from Laguna Beach Books. Books must be purchased in person. Only books purchased from Laguna Beach Books will be signed.

Laguna Beach Books is at the Old Pottery Place, 1200 S. Coast Hwy.

Votes due in holiday window contest

Today is the last day to enter the Laguna Beach Coastline Pilot’s Holiday Window Contest by mail.

Community members may cast their ballots for one or more retail windows in any part of Laguna Beach that they think have the best holiday decorations.

The winner will get a free quarter-page ad in the Coastline Pilot. The top vote-getters will have their windows and businesses featured in the Dec. 25 issue.

To cast a ballot, send us a note by mail with your name and the name and address of your favorite holiday-decorated retail windows in Laguna Beach and why you liked them to P.O. Box 248, Laguna Beach, CA 92652, or send your ballot via e-mail to [email protected] with the subject line: “Window contest.”

You may vote for as many businesses as you like, but the limit is one business vote per person.

Mailed ballots must be postmarked by today. E-mail ballots must be e-mailed by midnight Dec. 20.

Tabu gets highest ZAGAT rating again

Tabu Grill received the ZAGAT rating of 29 “” out of a possible 30 “” for 2010, the highest rating in Southern California two years in a row.

ZAGAT’s rating system is based on a combined score of food, decor, service and cost.

Fiori hosts Save a Sea Lion week

Fiori Gallery, specializing in hand painted Italian pottery, will be donating a portion of all sales from today through Thursday to the Pacific Marine Mammal Center.
