Baseball clinic offered today
Costa Mesa American Little League will offer its inaugural Off-season Clinic for players ages 4 through 13 today from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Costa Mesa High.
There is no fee for the clinic, but participants who pay $20 will receive a T-shirt, lunch and a shaved ice snack.
Participants are asked to RSVP to (714) 932-2444 and, if they wish to buy the package, provide their T-shirt size.
Players will receive instruction on skill development and conditioning from coaches and players representing Costa Mesa and Estancia high schools.
Instruction guides will also be given to players to guide their preparation for the upcoming season.
Warmup will begin at 8:30 a.m.
Spring league registration will also begin at 8:30.
Participants are asked to wear baseball gear and bring their equipment.

CdM baseball camp set
Corona del Mar High baseball coaches will conduct a winter camp for players ages 6 to 14 from Dec. 28 through Dec. 31 at Coroan del Mar High.
There will be a youth camp for ages 6-10 and a middle school camp for ages 11-14.
Instruction will include drills and game settings to emphasize development in hitting, fielding and base running.
Evan Chalmers is the camp director, and the staff will also include CdM Coach John Emme, assistant John Green and several CdM players.
The cost is $200 per camper.
