Experian acknowledges young scholars with $200 savings bonds
Costa Mesa-based Experian has announced the winners of the 2009 Heart of Experian Junior Elite Awards, which acknowledge the children of the company’s employees that have shown exceptional scholastic achievement in the 2008-2009 school year. This year, 55 students will be receiving a $200 savings bond from the Heart of Experian in recognition of their accomplishments.
Each year, the program accepts applications and selects winners for the Junior Elite Awards. Applications are scored objectively taking into consideration academic performance, extra curricular activities, scholastic achievements and an essay response. The applicant must be the son or daughter of a current Experian employee.
Winners in Orange County include Shayda Abazari of Laguna Niguel, Emily Antonucci of Anaheim, Rachel Berkowitz of Costa Mesa, Alina Cheatham of Garden Grove, Tara Egigian of Seal Beach, Naseem Fazeli and Kellie Goff of Rancho Santa Margarita, Alicia Kosin of Villa Park, Jeremy Lim of Coto De Caza, Colin Reyes of Orange, and Theresa Yu of Irvine.
“The Heart of Experian was extremely impressed with each applicant’s commitment to education,†said Maxine Sweet, Vice President of Public Education at Experian. “Each year, the applicants impress us with their passion for knowledge, and involvement in their schools and communities. We applaud the support of their parents and are confident each award recipient will be successful in their next year of school.â€
