UC Irvine will present “Icons of a Border Installation,” a traveling photography exhibition commemorating the 20th anniversary of the dismantling of the Berlin Wall, in the UCI Student Center’s Crystal Cove Auditorium library through Monday.
Hosted by the school’s German department and sponsored by the Goethe Institute of San Francisco, the exhibition features images of wall remnants in unified Berlin.
A conference from Nov. 5 to 8, “1989: 20 Years After,” will bring together scholars and experts to examine the international political, economic and social changes that have taken place since the Berlin Wall came down.
